PRO FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : AFC : Jordan Considers Football Again
The Oakland Raiders are trying to get Brian Jordan, a former NFL safety who is an outfielder with the St. Louis Cardinals, back to football, Raider executive Bruce Allen confirmed.
The Contra Costa Times in Walnut Creek, Calif., reported in Thursday’s editions that the Raiders are actively negotiating with Jordan’s agent.
Jordan has not played football since 1991, when he was a Pro Bowl alternate with the Atlanta Falcons. He then signed a four-year, baseball-only contract with the Cardinals, which expires at the end of this baseball season.

A judge allowed Cincinnati Bengal defensive end Dan Wilkinson to reconcile with his girlfriend, a week after Wilkinson was charged with assaulting her in their home.
The 313-pound Wilkinson, 22, was charged with domestic violence Sept. 13. He was accused of punching Lamarr, who is four months pregnant with his child, in the abdomen.
Wilkinson pleaded innocent to the charge last week.
