Ben Joyce completed 10 of 17 for 230 yards and two touchdowns as Paraclete High defeated La Salle, 35-14, Saturday night in a Southern Section Division X first-round playoff game at Monrovia High.
Lance Austin rushed for 57 yards and two touchdowns in 11 carries for the Spirits (6-5). Jesse Loa caught five passes for 88 yards and two touchdowns. The Spirits intercepted three passes.
