Robbers Invade 2 Adjacent Condos
Five armed robbers invaded two adjacent condominiums Monday and held the residents at gunpoint while they ransacked the homes, sheriff’s officials said.
The robbers, carrying knives and guns, entered through a bedroom window in the 11200 block of Western Avenue about 8:35 p.m., Lt. Lynn Nehring said.
One held the two children and three adults there at gunpoint, while the others ransacked the place and took cash and jewelry from the victims, officials said.
Two of the attackers then ran to next door and forced their way into that condominium through the front door. Two adults there also were robbed of money and jewelry at gunpoint, Nehring said.
The five robbers then fled together. No one was injured.
