GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Irvine Woodbridge 54, JW North 46--Woodbridge won its third consecutive Southern Section title with a balanced scoring attack that included four players in double figures in the II-AA final at the Pyramid.

Kathy Joens scored a team-high 15 and had 11 rebounds, and Erin Stovall scored 13 and had five steals for the Warriors (28-2). Tami Weaver also had 10, and so did Melanie Pearson.

Julia Gray led North (23-6) with 16 points and 10 steals.

Ayesha Rembert added 15 points for the Huskies.
