Pepperdine Catches a Big Wave With the Signing of 6-6 Gardner

Share

Jelani Gardner submitted a signed grant-in-aid to Pepperdine on Monday, signaling his intention to transfer to the school, Coach Lorenzo Romar said.

The 6-foot-6 guard, a former high school All-American at St. John Bosco in Bellflower, played the last two seasons at California but became unhappy with Coach Todd Bozeman when his playing time was reduced toward the end of this season.

He will have two years of eligibility remaining after sitting out next season under NCAA rules.
