ABC Exec Resigns: In the first of an expected series of executive moves at ABC Entertainment, Judd Parkin has resigned from his position as senior vice president of movies and miniseries. Barbara Lieberman, who worked under Parkin, is expected to replace him. Parkin, a 10-year ABC veteran who has run the department since 1991, will become an independent producer, taking with him commitments from ABC on projects he’ll produce. ABC is working to reorganize its entertainment division under recently appointed President Jamie Tarses. The network’s movie roster is expected to grow next season, though many of those will be supplied by new corporate parent Walt Disney Co. as part of a “Disney Movie” franchise.
