Teen on Olympic Soccer Development Team
Buena High School senior Megan Munday was selected to the 1996 Under-17 Western Region Olympic Development Team for girls soccer.
Megan will play for the West Team at the Youth Inter-Regional Tournament in Pleasanton, Calif., over the Thanksgiving weekend, competing against regional select teams from the south, north and east regions of the United States.
The tournament is a prime evaluation period for the Under-20 National Team coach, who will be scouting players to represent the United States in international play.
Megan was evaluated along with more than 200 state select level Under-17 players for a spot on the western regional team.
