L.L. Knickerbocker Buy
RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA —
In a move that could boost sales significantly, L.L. Knickerbocker Co. said Monday that it has signed a letter of intent to acquire Georgetown Collection Inc., a developer of porcelain dolls, and its subsidiary, Magic Attic Press. Terms were not disclosed.
L.L. Knickerbocker said it expects the acquisition to boost its annual sales to $80 million. The company had revenue of about $13 million in 1995.
Georgetown, based in Westbrook, Maine, develops and markets porcelain dolls for doll collectors. Knickerbocker markets celebrity collector dolls, jewelry products and other items.
