Wal-Mart Hurts Self in Flap Over Crow, Guns

Share

As an avid shopper, stockholder and yes, fan of Wal-Mart stores, I wish their decision makers would read over that poem of Sheryl Crow’s (“Wal-Mart Bans Album Over Gun Sale Lyrics,” Sept. 10) and be grateful that she is making a generic term out of the word “Wal-Mart” (such as the man’s name “Quisling” that came to stand for the word “traitor” during and since the World War II).

And I wish that they would stop selling guns, which brings harm to living things, and sell Sheryl Crow’s album instead, which brings knowledge and, if one is lucky, insight.
