Burned Man in Guarded Condition
A Los Angeles worker who was burned in Ojai this week after being shocked by thousands of volts of electricity was in guarded condition Tuesday at the Grossman Burn Center at Sherman Oaks Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Daniel Gaboldon, 28, of Los Angeles suffered second- and third-degree burns on his arms, hands, face and chest while working on the roof of a Pacific Bell transfer station in downtown Ojai, the spokeswoman said.
Gaboldon had been carrying a long metal bar that apparently touched an overhead power line, sending the 16,000-volt surge of electricity through his body, officials said.
