Families Sought for Exchange Students

Share

Families throughout the Conejo Valley, Simi Valley and Camarillo are being sought to host high school- and college-age foreign exchange students from June 30 through July 28.

About 200 exchange students from Scandinavia, Russia, Germany, Austria, Turkey and Taiwan are expected to arrive in Ventura County this summer to study English at Cal Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks.

The students, who are fully insured through the exchange’s sponsor, E.F. Educational Homestay Programs, will bring their own spending money and visit a number of points of interest in Southern California, including local amusement parks and beaches, during their visit.

Host families are welcome to join their guests during many of the trips planned for the students. Other benefits for host families include a drawing for a free trip to Europe, free dinners and merchandise from local businesses, and the chance to form lasting friendships with people from other countries.
