SPARKS TONIGHT

Opponent--Charlotte Sting.

Site--Forum.

Time--7:30.

Records--Sparks 0-2, Sting 0-1.

Update--Spark Coach Linda Sharp will be happy tonight if she gets 40 minutes like the first 10 her team played in Salt Lake City on Monday night. The Sparks looked like they were on their way to a 30- or 40-point victory until midway through the first half, when they bailed out early on each possession with jump shots. Charlotte, which doesn’t have a home game until Sunday, was squashed at Phoenix, 76-59, in its first game. The Sting’s most productive players so far are 6-foot-3 Vicky Bullett (Maryland, 1989) and 5-10 Andrea Stinson (North Carolina State, ‘91). The Sparks play host to Sacramento on Friday before embarking on their first trip, to Houston, Cleveland and Charlotte.
