Owner of Collapsed Building Convicted

The owner of a building that collapsed last year, killing 64 people, was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to seven years in jail. The High Security Court found Raouf Wissa Ibrahim, 60, guilty of illegally adding four floors to his eight-story building, causing it to buckle under the weight in October. Prosecutors said even the original eight floors wouldn’t have held long.
