A 46-year-old Los Angeles man was struck and killed by a car Saturday night as he walked across Tyrone Avenue at Oxnard Street, police said Sunday.

Won Bak was pronounced dead at the accident scene about 11:25 p.m. by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics, said Jim Currie, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division.

The driver of the car, Robert Richmond, 31, of North Hollywood, fled the scene, but later turned himself in to police in Van Nuys, Currie said.
