High School Students Tour Chevron Refinery
More than 30 minority high school students toured the Chevron Refinery in El Segundo on Thursday and met with corporate executives as part of a program aimed at introducing business careers to minority students.
The visit was part of LEAD--Leadership Education and Development Program in Business--a national program that provides outstanding minority students with four weeks of business classes at universities around the nation and an opportunity to observe various businesses.
Students who visited Chevron are enrolled in business classes at UCLA.
