School District Seeks Committee Members
The Newport-Mesa Unified School District needs six volunteers to serve on its Citizens Budget Advisory Committee.
District officials created the committee in 1992 to increase public participation in making financial decisions.
The committee terms are for two years, starting in January. The committee meets at least six times a year. Applicants must reside in the district.
Those interested may apply by submitting a letter to Supt. Mac Bernd, 2985 Bear St., Costa Mesa, CA 92626. In it, applicants should state their qualifications and reason for seeking the appointment.
Applications must be received no later than 4 p.m. Dec. 5. The board will make appointments at its Dec. 9 meeting. Information: (714) 424-5002.
