Friday promises some good nonleague matchups, including No. 2 Foothill at No. 3 Newport Harbor in a rematch of the third-place game at the Southern California Invitational. Foothill won, 5-4, on Robby Arroyo’s goal in the game’s last seconds. Friday’s game starts at 3 p.m.
In other games Friday, top-ranked Los Alamitos will host No. 5 Costa Mesa at 3 p.m. and eighth-ranked Villa Park will meet Long Beach Wilson at 6 p.m. at Belmont Plaza Pool. Wilson is ranked No. 1 in Division I.
Wednesday, a key South Coast League matchup features Capistrano Valley against San Clemente at 5 p.m. at Saddleback College.
