Santa Fe Christian 34, Capistrano Valley Christian 0 (called with 11:40 in the fourth quarter)--Ryan Allen had 73 yards in 12 carries for Capistrano Valley Christian. The game was called early because of a hip injury to Santa Fe Christian’s quarterback. Capistrano Valley Christian is 0-2.
Whittier Christian 45, L.A. Daniel Murphy 8--Matt Thomson was five of seven for 135 yards and two touchdowns for the Heralds (2-0). Wide receiver Jason Carpenter caught both scoring passes.
Running back Jacob Villa had touchdown runs of 25 and 43 yards.

Trabuco Hills linebacker Chase Schaeffer was released from Mission Hospital on Saturday. Schaeffer had been taken to the hospital by paramedics Friday night after being knocked unconscious in Trabuco Hills’ game against Laguna Hills at Mission Viejo High.
Schaeffer was held overnight for observation. According to Trabuco Hills Coach Bill Crow, doctors performed a CAT scan and a neck X-ray Saturday, and both tests were negative.
It is still unknown when Schaeffer will return to the football team. Trabuco Hills (0-2) lost Friday night’s game, 35-7.
