Trustee Wants Retry on School Bond Vote
Anaheim City School District officials may try again after the defeat April 14 of a $48-million bond measure for school construction.
Board President Benny Hernandez tonight will ask trustees to consider placing the same bond measure on November’s general election ballot.
Although 55% of those who voted April 14 supported the measure, it failed to receive the needed two-thirds majority.
“I trust the community will respond to our huge crisis,” he said.
Hernandez said he expects a majority of his board colleagues will support his proposal.
The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Staff Development Center, Building B, 1001 S. East Street, Anaheim.
