Manning Can Only Watch After Mishap
Tiffany Manning of Mission Viejo was unable to compete on the final day at the Can-Am-Mex Diving Championships because she hit her head on the springboard during practice Sunday morning at the Moose Moss Aquatic Center in Moultrie, Ga.
Manning, who won the girls’ 14-15 platform competition Saturday, was rushed to the hospital but returned to watch the end of the one-meter event.
Lauren Donovan of The Woodlands, Texas, won the competition with 370.02 points. Mission Viejo’s Carly Banks (335.54) finished seventh.
The United States earned the team trophy with a score of 369. Canada took second with 352. The U.S. has won every title in the event’s 24-year history.
