Coca-Cola Co., introducing its first TV commercials since naming a new marketing chief, is using teenage robins and the return of a “Super Mom” character to advertise its flagship soft drink, Coke Classic. The 11 new commercials, five of which begin airing this week, continue the “Always Coca-Cola” slogan used since 1993. The commercials were produced by Edge Creative, the Los Angeles-based advertising agency. Coke declined to specify the cost of the new ads. Coke Classic leads the company’s global growth. Coca-Cola sells 2 billion cases of it annually in the U.S. Coke Classic sales have risen 5% to 6% so far this year, analysts said.
