Scout, a clumsy 11-year-old boy (Bug Hall), dreams of becoming a member of the school safety patrol but winds up in a comedic mess when he stumbles onto a bumbling band of crooks in Safety Patrol, the movie on this week’s “The Wonderful World of Disney” (ABC, Sunday at 7 p.m.). Scout is framed for a crime he didn’t commit and finds it is up to him and his friends to make their school safe again. Leslie Nielsen makes a special appearance. The film also stars Lainie Kazan, Ed McMahon and “Weird Al” Yankovic. For ages 8 and up.

John Vanbiesbrouck of the National Hockey League’s Florida Panthers is guest host of The Sports Illustrated For Kids Show (CBS, Saturday at 9 a.m.). He explains why he became a goalie and shows young viewers how focusing can help them succeed in all areas of life. Quarterback Brad Johnson of the Minnesota Vikings, basketball star Kym Hampton of the New York Liberty and basketball star Kenny Anderson of the Portland Trail Blazers also appear. For ages 7 to 11.
