In another Division III game:

Brea Olinda 3, Pacifica 1--Andy Drapkowski hit a three-run homer in the fifth with one out. Mike Davern (3-3) struck out four and gave up two hits in six innings for host Brea Olinda (19-9-1).

Pacifica finishes 19-9.

In Division II:

Corona 4, Villa Park 3--Corona pitcher David O’Neil gave up three hits, two of which were home runs, in a victory over the host Spartans (13-14).

Matt Swearingen hit both home runs for Villa Park, one in the first inning with one man on and one in the third.

Dustin Wagner hit a two-run homer in the fifth for Corona (22-5). Corona advances to play Glendora.

Katella 4, Edison 2--Tony Alcantar hit a two-run homer in the third inning and Mike Martinez pitched three shutout innings in relief to lead Katella (17-10). The Knights will host West Torrance on Friday at Boysen Park in the third round. Edison finishes 20-9.

West Torrance 3, Dana Hills 0--Dana Hills pitcher Sean Fluent (7-3) struck out 10, giving him 100 this season, and walked one. Host Dana Hills finishes 19-8. West Torrance is 25-4.

In Division IV:

La Quinta 10, Brawley 2--Gerald Laird was three for four with four RBIs and a stolen base, his 40th of the year. Willie Keller was three for four with two RBIs for La Quinta (28-1). La Quinta starter Steve Lee (12-0) struck out 12 in six innings. La Quinta, which has made it to at least the quarterfinals for the past five years, plays La Canada St. Francis.

Ocean View 11, Fullerton 1--Jason Miller (four RBIs) tripled in the first with the bases loaded for visiting Ocean View (18-10). Andy Wirmani hit his fourth homer of the season, a two-run shot in the sixth inning. Jason Martini (6-2) struck out five and gave up no earned runs.

In Division V:

Santa Monica Crossroads 5, Capistrano Valley Christian 2--Thomas Grove struck out five in a three-hitter for visiting Capistrano Valley Christian (17-4-1). Crossroads (14-10-1) pulled ahead by scoring three unearned runs in the sixth inning on one hit, two walks and two errors. Grove (one RBI) had three of Capistrano Valley’s four hits.
