Elway Ponders Career Move
Denver Bronco quarterback John Elway said Tuesday he has not made a decision whether to return for his 16th season in the NFL.
“I’m still debating,” said the 37-year-old Elway, who will return to the San Fernando Valley on June 4 for ceremonies renaming Granada Hills High’s football stadium in his honor.
“I don’t know exactly what I’m going to do. I’m going to make that decision in June and see how I feel. They [the Broncos] haven’t put a rush on me.”
Elway, who graduated from Granada Hills in 1979, said he’s looking forward to walking around the campus and visiting with faculty and students.
“It’s very flattering,” he said of the stadium honor.
Granada Hills will unveil an $8,000 scoreboard. The June 4 festivities begin at 10:30 a.m. on the football field. Tickets are $5.
