Anaheim Angel player Jim Edmonds will add $25,000 to the reward already offered for information on the whereabouts of a missing Irvine woman, Edmonds’ agent said Thursday.

Rachel Newhouse, 20, a student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, disappeared Nov. 12. Her family this week offered $10,000 for information about her.

Agent Paul Cohen said that, in addition to Edmonds’ contribution, sports agent Dwight Manley will add to the reward fund. Manley could not be reached for comment Thursday night.

Newhouse was last seen leaving a fraternity party at a restaurant near the Cal Poly campus. The FBI has joined San Luis Obispo and college law enforcement agencies in the search for her.

Over the weekend, Newhouse’s family and friends walked possible routes she might have taken, looking for any clues. Helicopters and police dogs joined them.

Capt. Bart Topham of the San Luis Obispo Police Department said Thursday that investigators are identifying and interviewing people known to have been in the vicinity the night of Newhouse’s disappearance.
