Authorities Destroy 1,000 Marijuana Plants
Authorities discovered and destroyed about 1,000 marijuana plants in San Gabriel Canyon north of Azusa.
U.S. Forest Service agents, sheriff’s deputies and Monrovia police eradicated the plants in a field about a mile from California 39, Forest Service spokesman Randi Jorgensen said.
The plants were about four feet tall and a month away from harvest, officials said. No one has been arrested.
