Mike Bayer, a 6-foot-7 all-county forward from Mater Dei, has changed his mind and signed to play basketball at Fordham, he said.
Bayer had originally committed to Manhattan College in New York but said that he preferred Fordham because Manhattan recently changed coaches.

Mission Viejo High golfer Brett Armstrong has signed to play for UC Santa Barbara next year, Diablo Coach Bob Minier said.
Armstrong was selected to the All-South Coast League team last year and has a stroke average of 74.2 this year.
His best round is a three-under-par 69. He has been the Diablos’ team captain for two years.

Ocean View soccer player Andrea Droeger will attend UC San Diego, her coach at Ocean View, Joey Bahash, said. Droeger was an first-team Golden West League selection last season.

Julie Henn, a water polo player from Rosary High, said she has committed to USC.
Henn scored 57 goals last season for the Royals, who won their second consecutive Southern Section title.
A two-time All-Southern Section selection, Henn was a second team Times Orange County All-County selection.
