Saugus 28, Canyon 21--Running back Matt Kurowski scored on a five-yard run with 8:42 to play after defensive lineman Jeff Gallo recovered a Ryan Jones fumble at the Canyon 26-yard line for the host Centurions (5-2, 1-1).

Canyon (2-5, 1-1) drove to the Saugus 40 late in the game, but defensive back Travis Woodruff made a diving interception at the goal line with 1:09 to play.

Saugus quarterback David Parker connected on two early touchdowns as the Centurions built a 14-0 lead midway through first quarter. Parker completed 13 of 25 passes for 166 yards and three touchdowns. Wide receiver Marco Gilbert caught seven passes for 100 yards and one touchdown.

Canyon running back Jimmy Perry rushed for 87 yards in 17 carrires and scored on a five-yard run. He also scored on a 40-yard pass from Julio DeLeon.
