In another Channel League game:

Ventura 26, Dos Pueblos 21--Scott Ellis threw four touchdown passes to keep Ventura undefeated in a game at San Marcos High.

Ellis completed nine of 18 passes for 164 yards.

The Cougars (7-0, 2-0) scored on their first play from scrimmage when Ellis connected with Clark Goodwin on a 74-yard pass play for a 6-0 lead.

Ellis’ touchdown passes went to four receivers. Goodwin had two catches for 83 yards.

Ventura led, 20-0, before Justin Salvman rallied Dos Pueblos (3-4, 1-1) with one touchdown run in the second quarter, one in the third and one in the fourth.

Salvman had 162 yards in 29 carries. Ventura’s Tyler Ebell finished with 59 yards in 19 carries. He had a touchdown reception.
