RONAN, Mont. —
An 11-year-old girl driving her mother’s car, apparently with permission, crashed it, killing a 9-year-old girl who was a passenger, authorities said Sunday.
Three girls were in the car Saturday when it overturned twice. The driver and a 13-year-old received minor injuries.
The driver told authorities that she reached down to pick up something. The car, traveling about 45 mph, went down an embankment. None of the girls wore a seat belt.
