The Boeing Co.’s troubled Delta III rocket is ready to resume operations, although no launch date has been set, officials said.

The company replaced the rocket’s old combustion chamber, which was responsible for the failure in May when an Orion communication satellite was sent into the wrong orbit, spokesman Allan Buis said.

The rocket’s inaugural launch in August 1998 ended with an explosion 71 seconds after liftoff.
