Driver Dies After Crash in Santa Ana
A man was fatally injured in a traffic accident in Santa Ana late Wednesday night, authorities said.
Alejandro Cervantes, 25, was driving south on Fairview Avenue near 9th Street around 11 p.m. when he apparently lost control of his car, crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with another car going north on Fairview, said Santa Ana Police Capt. Hector Mariani.
Authorities said that Cervantes, whose family is believed to live in Mexico, was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he was pronounced dead shortly after midnight.
The driver of the other car was not cited, police said.
