LOS ALAMITOS
The trustees of the Los Alamitos Unified School District on Monday postponed a public hearing on the proposed relocation of the Orange County School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to the district.
District and county officials are still negotiating an agreement that would allow the county to lease a small plot of land between McAuliffe Middle School and Los Alamitos Elementary School. The small school was forced to leave its previous home at San Marino Elementary School in Buena Park because of class-size reductions, which meant the elementary school needed more space.
