CYPRESS
The Police Department and the Orange County Fire Authority are offering a six-week Community Emergency Response course designed to give residents hands-on instruction in fire safety.
Participants will learn fire-suppression techniques, disaster preparedness and first aid. Classes will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursdays at the Cypress Emergency Operations Center, 5285 Cypress St. Admission is free. Information: (714) 229-6625.
