The city Ocean Water Quality Committee wants to reward “good water citizens” and create a high school elective program to teach students about water-quality issues.
Residents James Pribram and Geanne Meyers have created a template for a series of ocean studies elective classes.
The recommendation will be included in the board’s budget report to the City Council.
