Fullerton Loses to Oklahoma
Right fielder Jeff Bajenaru doubled in the winning run in the bottom of the eighth, then came on to strike out the side in the ninth for Oklahoma in a 4-3 victory over Cal State Fullerton Tuesday in Oklahoma City.
The Titans (16-8) jumped out to a 2-0 lead on a two-run single by first baseman Jake Epstein in the first. After Fullerton batted in the third the game was delayed for more than an hour because of a thunderstorm.
Oklahoma (17-12) then scored three runs in their half of the third, the key hit being a two-run double by first baseman Rick Park.
The Titans tied it in the seventh on a two-out single by David Bacani that scored Chris Stringfellow from second.
However, in the bottom of the eighth, Sean Martin (1-1) came on and walked Park. Bajenaru followed with his game-winning hit.
