‘Oops!’ . . . Spears Does It Again
The top of the Southern California album chart was thrown into upheaval by a flurry of new releases, led by Britney Spears and her second album, “Oops! . . . I Did It Again,’ which, nationally, enjoyed the best one-week sales ever for a disc from a female artist. DJ Quik, Whitney Houston and Pearl Jam also claim top spots, while No Doubt’s Orange County roots keep it among the top sellers in the region despite its slide on the national charts.
