El Camino Real 1, Granada Hills 0--Melissa Coogan pitched a one-hitter, struck out nine and walked one as the Conquistadores clinched a share of the West Valley League title at El Camino Real.
Kim Jex hit a second-inning single for second-place Granada Hills (14-12, 6-2).
Lindsay Goldblatt led off the third for El Camino Real (19-4, 8-0) with a single, went to second on Stacy Nicklaus’ sacrifice and to third on a wild pitch. She scored on Kelly Lombard’s groundout.
Granada Hills, a 6-0 loser to the Conquistadores earlier this season, played error-free defense and catcher Miki Mayorga threw out Brecken Bronner attempting to steal one pitch after she drew a lead-off walk in the fifth.
