A Good Evening to Get Physical

Brooke Shields and Wendie Malick square off in a broad repeat of “Just Shoot Me” (9:30 p.m. NBC).

Shields is a guest as Nina’s visiting sister, an unsophisticated farm girl who charms the Blush staff and ponders a move to New York. The decision upsets a jealous Nina (Malick), who decides there’s only one way to settle their differences, and it’s not pretty.

If you’re in the mood for more choreographed grappling, there’s “WWF Smackdown!” (8 p.m. UPN), which was taped Tuesday at Staples Center. Ratings have picked up for Vince McMahon’s wrestling shows since the recent return of the Rock, who had been away since April while filming the action flick “The Scorpion King.”

You won’t see any physical altercations on “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” (8 p.m. ABC), but there’s generally a few good belly laughs provided by Ryan Stiles and Wayne Brady, among other regulars.

And speaking of getting physical, KOCE counters at 8 p.m. with “Love Secrets: What Women Want Men to Know,” a two-hour program in which counselor Barbara De Angelis serves up advice on communication and understanding the opposite sex.

Now that’s educational television, wouldn’t you say?
