UCI Conference Focuses on Health Care

Industry executives, government officials and physicians will gather next month in Orange County to discuss some of the most pressing issues in health care.

The 10th annual Health Care Forecast Conference, which will be Feb. 1-2 at UC Irvine, will address such topics as venture funding for biomedical companies, the future of Medicare, trends in managed care and the impact of the Internet on health care.

Political pundit Norman J. Ornstein, resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, will deliver the keynote address. He will speak on health politics and policies in the new Bush administration.

Registration is $450 per person. The fee increases to $550 after Jan. 22.
