Teacher’s Aide Rams Car Into School
From Times Wire Reports
A teacher’s aide apparently bent on suicide faces attempted murder charges after allegedly ramming her speeding car into a school in Palm Coast, injuring a teacher and several children, police said.
Victoria Acierno, 19, drove across a lawn and into the wall of a fourth-grade classroom at 45 mph to 50 mph, police said. A hidden support pole prevented the car from entering the classroom at the Indian Trails K-8 Center, but the crash sent desks, computers, books and bricks flying.
