Widening Project to Cause Congestion
A widening project on New Los Angeles Avenue at the Arroyo Simi bridge is expected to cause traffic delays for about 10 days.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction beginning July 30. The work, which is to be completed Aug. 9, will include re-striping the crossing to allow three lanes of traffic in each direction.
Advisory signs will be posted several days in advance of the lane closures, said Ken Gilbert, director of public works. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid the congestion.
