The California Highway Patrol was searching for the driver of a car that hit at least one other vehicle Sunday night on the northbound San Diego Freeway at Euclid Street in Fountain Valley.

At least two people injured in the crash were being treated at UCI Medical Center in Orange. Details on their condition and the nature of their injuries were not available.

The incident is being considered a hit-and-run felony, CHP Communications Supervisor Mike Orozco said.

Orozco could not identify the make of the car being sought but said police have its license number.

Orozco said that at 7:27 p.m., the driver hit at least one of several cars, which then collided.

The freeway was blocked for about 35 minutes while police and tow trucks cleared the wreckage.
