Festival to Celebrate Channel Islands Fox
A group of Ventura schoolchildren has organized a festival at the Santa Barbara Zoo celebrating the Channel Islands fox.
The Fall Fox Festival will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 30 at the zoo, 500 Ninos Drive. It was planned by Save Our Species, a group of Mound Elementary School student conservationists.
The event will include educational booths, crafts, a slide show and a student-narrated puppet show. Zoo admission is $8 for adults and $6 for children.
