A look at the final top 10 boys’ tennis teams in the Southland:

1. Irvine University (24-2-1, SS-Div. II)

Best team in the region proved it en route to the Division II title. (Previous ranking: No. 1)

2. Harvard-Westlake (27-1, SS-Div. V)

Rode Jesse Ferlianto and doubles depth to division championship, nipping Brentwood. (4).

3. Hoover (24-1, SS-Div. I)

Had plenty of depth and used it to win the school’s first- boys’ tennis title. (5)

4. Troy (26-2, SS-Div. II)

Won 21 consecutive matches between early loss to Corona del Mar and loss to University in final. (3)

5. Brentwood (17-5, SS-Div. V)

Versatile lineup had Eagles in good stead throughout playoffs. (8)

6. Corona del Mar (26-2, SS-Div. V)

Won its own tournament, but was hurt by injuries down the stretch. (2)

7. Westlake (24-0, SS-Div. III)

Had no great players but plenty of good ones, going unbeaten for second time in three seasons. (7)

8. Woodbridge (19-6, SS-Div. III)

Had second consecutive runner-up finish in section finals, this year falling to Westlake. (9)

9. Peninsula (17-8, SS-Div. I)

Won 11 in a row before losing to Hoover in division final, Peninsula’s seventh appearance in 11 years.

10. Los Alamitos (17-7, SS-Div. II)

Won eight consecutive matches to reach section semifinals.
