Man Gets Probation for Post-9/11 Threats
An ex-Marine who threatened an elderly Iranian couple after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks has been placed on three years’ probation.
Steven McManus, 45, said he was upset after repeatedly watching footage of the jetliners crashing into the World Trade Center towers.
He will have to pick up trash for Caltrans for 40 hours and do an additional 40 hours of community service. He also must complete an anger management program, tour the Simon Wiesenthal Museum of Tolerance in West Los Angeles and submit a 300-word essay.
