Garden Grove: Crystal Cathedral, 12141 Lewis St. Services at 9:30 and 11 a.m. dedicated to the victims and heroes. Video presentation and unfurling of a giant flag.
Islamic Society of Orange County, 9752 E. 13th St., 5 p.m. Interfaith community prayer vigil in remembrance of victims and their families.
Huntington Beach: Walk for Hope, Bolsa Chica State Beach at 8 a.m.
Los Alamitos: Laurel Park, Katella Avenue and Bloomfield Street, starts 6 p.m. Concert on the Green, a color guard presentation as well as a performance by Elvis impersonator Raymond Michael.
Yorba Linda: Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace theater, 18001 Yorba Linda Blvd., 2 p.m. Concert by USC Trojan Marching Band. Doors open at 1 p.m.
Monday, Sept. 9
Irvine: Hyatt Regency Irvine, 17900 Jamboree Road, 7:15 p.m. An address, “9/11: One Year Later--Why America Is Losing the War!” by Dr. Yaron Brook, executive director of the Ayn Rand Institute, and Leonard Peikoff, founder of the institute.
Mission Viejo: Mission Viejo Masjid, 23581 Madero, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Interfaith community gathering.
Tuesday, Sept. 10
Yorba Linda: Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace theater, 18001 Yorba Linda Blvd., 3 p.m. keynote remarks from World Trade Center survivor Harry Waizer and Cmdr. Bradley Voight, director of the 1,500 Special Forces troops in Afghanistan.
Wednesday, Sept. 11
Anaheim: City Hall, 200 S. Anaheim Blvd., 8:30 a.m. Vigil hosted by City Council members and chaplains from the Police and Fire departments.
Anaheim United Methodist Church, 1000 S. State College Blvd., 7:30 p.m. Memorial service
Anaheim Hills: Toyon Park, Weir Canyon Road and Running Springs Drive, 6:30 p.m. Tree planting and presentation of memorial plaque. No candles allowed in the park for safety reasons, but participants may bring glow sticks.
Buena Park: St. Pius V Church, 7691 Orangethorpe Ave., noon. Non-denominational commemorative service sponsored by the city and the American Legion.
Christ Community Church, 6575 Crescent Ave., 7 p.m. Remembrance service.
Sequoia Athletic Club, 7350 Orangethorpe Ave., 7:30 to 9 p.m. Memorial with retired Israeli Gen. Shimon Erem and author and senior pastor of Lakewood Faith Community Church, Robert Morey.

Irvine: Concordia University, Light of the Hills Chapel, 1530 Concordia West, 10:30 a.m. Convocation featuring Capt. Frank Ciampa, who served as a New York National Guard chaplain. Heritage Park Lagoon, 4601 Walnut Ave., at Yale Avenue, 7 to 8:30 p.m. Candlelight vigil and memorial with music and patriotic readings. A food drive sponsored by the Sunrise Exchange Club and a flag disposal and collection will also be held.

San Onofre State Park: Lower Trestles Beach, 6:30 a.m. Traditional surfer memorial paddle-out with pro surfers. World Trade Center debris will be spread out into the ocean.
San Juan Capistrano: Mission San Juan Capistrano, Ortega Highway at Camino Capistrano, 7 p.m. A tribute for victims.
Santa Ana: City Hall, 20 Civic Center Plaza, 1 a.m. Memorial services in front of firefighters memorial between the Civic Center and library.
Seal Beach: Main Street and the pier, dusk. Candlelight vigil.
Stanton: Civic Center, 7800 Katella Ave., 9:11 a.m. Flag ceremony.
Tustin: Unity Church of Tustin, 14402 S. Prospect Ave.; services at 7 a.m. and again each hour. Special observance at 7 p.m.
Westminster: Civic Center Sunken Gardens, 8200 Westminster Blvd., 6:30 p.m. ceremony.
Yorba Linda: Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace, 18001 Yorba Linda Blvd. Quiet ceremonies marking precise moments (Pacific time) that attacks occurred: 5:45, 6:03, 6:40 and 7 a.m.
