Altered Airport Flight Path Draws Complaints

From Times Wire Reports

Attempts by the Federal Aviation Administration and local officials to please some Sacramento-area residents have angered others.

Folsom officials asked the FAA to test a new flight path to Mather Airport after some residents complained of noise. The test path decreases air traffic over Folsom and shifts it south. But the late-night noise has angered other residents whose homes are below the new route.

El Dorado County officials have asked Sacramento County to halt the 120-day flight path test, which began in mid-July.
