CBS courts greater diversity
CBS on Tuesday announced the formation of the CBS Diversity Institute, complementing existing network programs designed to increase cultural diversity within the writing and directing ranks.
The network’s Writers Mentoring Program will match up to 20 writers with network executive mentors, while its Directing Initiative will provide production opportunities for aspiring minority directors.
CBS is also continuing with its showcases for locating minority talent with a forum for Latino and Hispanic performers Oct. 4 at the Court Theatre.
