Police Seek Driver in Hit-and-Run Fatality

Police are searching for a man in his 20s in connection with a hit-and-run accident Saturday night in which a pedestrian was killed. The crash on Warner Avenue, just east of Raitt Street, occurred at 11:15 p.m., said police Sgt. Bill Barrett.
Raul Mendez, 30, whose address police did not know, was hit by a dark blue, late 1980s Honda Civic with a broken left headlight, Barrett said. The driver of the Honda left the scene. Mendez was pronounced dead at the scene.
